About Acharya Rizin

Acharya Rigzin was born in 27/2/1988 at Himalaya Village called Thaley, near Langtang Range. When he was 8 years old, He became a monk in Royal White Monastery at Jorpati, Kathmandu, Nepal in 1998. After he did his monastery level study until 2006, he started his higher Buddhist Studies at Rumtek Karma Shri Nalanda Institute in 2007. He had achieved a master degree from Rumtek In 2017.

Now he has completed his study on Buddhism philosophy. He is base in Nepal monastery and teaching for around 80 young monks. Also, He is the principal abbot of Karma Druchen Choiling monastery (Royal white monastery) main seat of Ven Master Tanpai Gyaltsen Rinpoche Jorpati, Kathmandu, Nepal. And founder of pemi ngyugu Choling Monastery. 

Acharya  Karma Rigzin's Vision

Although all the people in the Himalaya region of Nepal are Buddhist yet due to lack of Dharma Gurus and teachers giving Dharma teaching and spiritual guidelines to the people in the region most of the people are ignorant about the basic teaching of Buddha and lack the practice of Buddha Dharma. Therefore, he is trying to build a monastery, prayer hall for Dharma practitioner and also building school for orphan and poor children at Himalaya village Thaley-1 indrawati rural municipality Sindhualchok, Nepal.

The new monastic complex will be a center of Buddhist learning, preservation and spirituality inclusive of all the Mahayana traditions and accessible to all.

It will include:

  • Mani Prayer wheel
  •  Classroom
  • Grand park of Guru Rinpoche
  • Garden
